CADBURY EXPANDS SOUVENIR GIFT BOX RANGE
October 2009 sees Cadbury extend its
successful Luxury Selection Truffles Souvenir Gift Box collection. Already
trading with London and Singapore destination sleeves, three new additions take
the format across the globe as Dubai,
America and Canada-themed sleeves expand the range into an impressive five
set collection. Each box comprises 16 delicious Belgium
truffles in four flavours.
The new additions follow hot on the
heels of the first two themed boxes, which were launched in 2008 and have
performed strongly. Each of the three new editions features iconic national
landmarks, such as the Statue of Liberty and Mount Rushmore on the American
version and an image of the Rockys and the skyline featuring on the Canadian
sleeve. The classic images are watermarked in the relevant national flag and
form a subtle embellishment to the elegance of the golden box exterior.
The stylish new line-up is unveiled at
Cadburys stunning new stand at this years TFWA World Exhibition. In addition, following a year-long
exclusivity agreement with WDF, availability of the impactful Cadbury Luxury Selection Souvenir London box will now be
expanded through all Cadburys retail partners in the. This will
ensure that the product continues attracting the attention of the souvenir
shopper looking to take home a piece of British Cadbury heritage as a gift or
memento.

extension has enabled us to provide a format that works for retailers around
the world. The souvenir box fits well in-store and on-shelf and delivers visual
impact to draw shoppers to the confectionery fixture. The unique product design
also addresses a real customer need; providing a memorable keepsake from a

Cadburys shopper insight program identified that
souvenir gifting is a growing segment with around 10% of all confectionery
purchases.Last years
launch of the highly successful destination packs radically updated the
souvenir box format in the category. The souvenir packs are designed for the
shopper looking for the ultimate indulgence, the ideal gift or for a souvenir
of their trip. These latest designs reinforce the continuing role that the
souvenir category is taking in the confectionery sector, particularly in light
of the impact of the global downturn. Additionally, it emphasises the value of
the supplier/retailer relationship in developing new relevant products that are
not only on trend, but meet and exceed shopper expectations.

- Hazelnut truffle dipped in creamy milk chocolate
- Truffle noir dipped in rich dark chocolate
- Vanilla flavoured truffle smothered with milk chocolate with a white chocolate finish
- Milk truffle dusted with fine cocoa powder.
