CADBURY SCHWEPPES INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL RETAIL INTRODUCES NEW CADBURY LUXURY SELECTION TRUFFLES


Cadbury Schweppes International Travel Retail (CSITR) launches its latest premium chocolates to enhance its successful Cadbury Luxury Selection range. New Cadbury Luxury Selection Truffles 180g gift box provides the ultimate indulgence, to meet the needs of shoppers looking for a premium end gift, exclusively available in the travel retail channel from November 2007. Made in Belgium, each truffle has been crafted to the highest standards and is presented in a beautiful gift box.
Cadbury Luxury Selection Truffles will be officially launched at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes. They have been created as a direct result of CSITR’s global shopper insight programme, which examined a range of nationalities to understand shopper behaviour and purchase motivations within the Special Gifting sub-category.
CSITR’s shopper insight revealed that 80% of purchases are for gifting and uncovered a high level of interest in truffles, which are perceived as indulgent, luxurious and highly giftable. In blind taste tests over 90% of respondents rated Cadbury Luxury Selection Truffles as “Very Good” to “Excellent”.
The new Cadbury Luxury Selection Truffles comprises 16 delicious Belgium truffles in four flavours:
- - Hazelnut truffle dipped in creamy milk chocolate
- - Truffle noir dipped in rich dark chocolate
- - Vanilla flavoured truffle smothered with milk chocolate with a white chocolate finish
- Milk truffle dusted with fine cocoa powder.
When it comes to premium gifting it was revealed that ‘less is more’ and small packs are often the preferred format. In this segment packaging is a critical element, so the lustrous gold gift box and appetite design sleeve of Cadbury Luxury Selection Truffles captures the eye of shoppers looking for a premium gift box.
CSITR shopper insight also showed that brand credibility is a key purchase driver and shoppers have high quality perceptions of Cadbury Luxury Selection as a well-trusted international brand.
